I Was Fine Taking Pravastatin 20mg Then My Doctor Decided

I was fine taking pravastatin 20mg then my doctor decided to raise the dose to 40mg. Now my face feels hot or itchy. my tongue is swelling up etc. after 2 days I quit taking the larger pills. My question: What alternatives are there to Statin drugs. My heart and liver are in good shape. What can I do to lower cholesterol that is more natural ? Donald
