I Was Frying Chicken And Before I Put The Chicken

I was frying chicken and before I put the chicken in the pan the plastic container I was holding fell in the hot oil, I took it out and then put the chicken in the same frying pan without doing something to clean it up... How dangerous is to eat the fry chicken I believe has melted plastic in it?
