I Was Given This Medication Called Clotrimazole And Betamethasone Dipropionate

I was given this medication called clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream 1%/0.05%. I had previously been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma skin cancer spots on my legs (7 spots) This medications does not sound like I was prescribed the right medication. The pamphlet is stating it is a topical fungal used for tinea pedis, tinea cruris and tinea corporis. What in God's name is that and does it apply to what I am supposed to be treating.
