I Was Hit In My Eye Three Days Ago With

I was hit in my eye three days ago with the plug from the end of my iron when trying to wind the cord up. My eye lid was closed but for the past two days, my eye has been very sensitive to light and is painful when I look at light. The white of my eye is red but I am still able to see out of my eye. Could my eye be bruised?
