I Was In A Car Accident 5 Years Ago And

I was in a car accident 5 years ago and went head first into windshield with no seatbelt or air bag. I hit the top of my head and rippled the size of the top of my head into it from impact. I refused to get in the ambulance and had a family member pick me up and clean up the cutt on the top of my head. I never went and had it professionally looked at but it is still tender today and will hurt if I press on it. Could there be any reason to worry about it or is that common? It made my head bleed and some say two staples would be needed but I never went and got it taken care of.
