I Was In A Car Accident And Was Rear-ended; I

I was in a car accident and was rear-ended; I suffered whiplash, head, shoulder and abdominal seatbelt compression; 16 days after the accident I had an appendectomy; from the date of the accident to the date of the appendectomy I had nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, anorexia, insomnia from pain and nausea, and some chills and low-grade fever. those were the symptoms I was reporting to my doctor within the 16 days; I was never diagnosed with appendicitis until the day of appendectomy; after the surgery, nausea, abdominal pain, and anorexia went away; my diagnosis was Acute Retrocecal suppurative Appendicitis (atypical): Question: Could the accident have caused my appendicitis and how can I prove it?
