I was in hospital for Heart Ablation in Dec. 2011, and after some months of varied/successive heart-related prescriptions, I eventually settled into just one, Amlodipine Besylate. I continued with my other long-term Atorvastatin which has kept my cholesterol in good condition along with 81mg Aspirin. As I was about to renew my Amlodipine at Pharmacy, I just discovered that my 90-tablet "RITE-AID Bottle" had a line "NO REFILLS LEFT". If I phone "refill please" to "Rite-Aid", they will inform me that "No-refills left" - MY QUESTIONS: (1) do pharmacies respond "We'll check with your doctor to see if he wishes to refill" - or (2) "You should consult with your doctor" (which is likely to be much slower than a pharmacy phoned request. Thank you.
