I Was In The Hospital Friday Into Sat Of Last

I was in the hospital Friday into Sat of last week for blood clots in left calf and each lung. They put me on xarelto which my brother takes too. I've only been on it 5 days, but I started my period last night and I would say I'm bleeding at least double what I normally would (I was usually a light to regular bleeder). I know this is one of the side effects to watch out for but due to snow conditions my doctor's office isn't open. What do I do?
