I Was Just Told That I Have A Vaginal Cold

I was just told that I have a vaginal cold sore??? I had sex with a 70 yr old man who claimed I was the 1st since his wife of 51 yrs died. My doc recommended I use Abreva? Could you please explain to a very naive 63 yr old who doesn't have any vaginal discomfort but has had a nasty cold for 2 wks & sore throat. Sorry - just naive.
