I Was Just Told That I Have The Bacteria Serratia

I was just told that I have the bacteria serratia marcescens. Is this contagious? I had fevers for two days. Sore throat. Coughing. I have not been it the hospital since Jan., 2014. I have no clue how I contracted this. The dr. has called in an antibiotic and I have been taking musinex to loosen up the congestion in my head and lungs.
