I Was Just Wondering About Allopurinol--I Understand That It Is

I was just wondering about allopurinol--I understand that it is the generic version of zyloprim, which is what my doctor prescribed for me some years ago. I was surprised, however, at its cost as a generic. Most of my generic medicines don't reach the $25/3month supply level, e.g., temazapam, propanolol and montelucast. Is there a cheaper generic version of allopurinol?
