I Was Negative To Syphilis Oct 27. By Nov 26th

I was negative to syphilis Oct 27. By Nov 26th I had an early stage chancre. It started as a red sore on my penis and ulcerated to an open sore. I immediately saw a doctor and got 2 penicillin shots (one in each buttocks). it's been 11 days and the sore hasn't completely healed. The sore isn't red, but now appears recessed. (I notified my partners right away too).
Question: how long till the sore is gone? Does it scar?
