I Was On Lisinopril For Couple Of Years And Because

I was on Lisinopril for couple of years and because I developed a cough my Dr. wants me to take Losartan Potassium. I have been reading the side effects and I am afraid to take it. Is it safe to take if you have diabetes? Right now I don't want to take any medication.
