I Was Prescribed IC CLINDAMYCIN HCL 150 MG And It

I was prescribed IC CLINDAMYCIN HCL 150 MG and it says to take 3 capsules by mouth 3 times a day. My pharmacist says this is how it was prescribed. My question is is this normal because it seems like too much dosage at once by taking 3 all at once 3 times a day...
