I Was Put On Warfrin Many Years Ago. I Was

I was put on Warfrin many years ago. I was on plavix when the first cardiovascular surgeon put me on it. The second took me off. Several years later, I had a clot block my Colan and was put on the warfrin. I asked to be put on eliquis but it is so expensive I asked my current doctor if plavix would be as good. No answer as yet. Any information between the two?
