I Was Recently On Depo Starting May 5 And I

I was recently on Depo starting May 5 and I stopped taking it on Oct 3 when I told my doctor I didn't want it anymore because I kept getting discharge and then started bleeding non stop like a long period. Now that I have been on the Pill currently, I take it every day at 7am but my period is heavy still and I'm not sure when it will stop. Before I started taking depo I was not on birth control and my period was irregular up until I started birth control. When will my period stop or is this actually a period at all??
