I Was Recently Prescribed Vyvanse But My Insurance Did Not

I was recently prescribed vyvanse but my insurance did not cover them. The pharmacist said that I would have to be prescribed adderal and so they faxed my doctor. About a week later my prescription had not been called in so I called the doctors office. The receptionist said that the fax was received and he just had to call it in. It's now been two weeks and he has still not called it in. Is there a time limit on how long it takes to call in? And should I continue calling the office?
