I Was Recently Told By A Corneal Specialist That My

I was recently told by a corneal specialist that my cornea is hardening right in the center of my eye. She says I inherited this. She also says that it cannot be scraped off the eye but may be controlled by hard contact lenses. What would you call this condition?
