I Was Sanitizing Something Using Baking Soda And Hot Water

I was sanitizing something using baking soda and hot water there must have been something acidic in the container because the baking soda reacted and bubbled over. Not thinking I grabbed the cup to get it to the sink and the liquid ran down my hand before I dropped it. My index finger is red and a little swollen and stings even without touching it and my surrounding fingers are slightly burned. Did having the baking soda reaction make it worse should I seek medical attention?
