I Was Scratching My Vagina Soon After It Became Swollen

I was scratching my vagina soon after it became swollen with a slight stiffness and burning in both sides. I took a warm soak with peroxide. Swelling had decreased a little. What could have been the cause? I haven't had any foul smelling discharge. No intercourse in the past four days.
