I was standing at my kitchen sink listening to a friend talk on the phone about 30 minutes ago when suddenly, out of no where, what seemed like instantly, an acidic rush from my gi tract went into my airway and I was gasping for air. I thought I was about to die I was so scared. This never happened before. I ate nothing today and have anemia, the beginning of what may be thrombocytopaenia, very low vitamin d (9) and am recovering from a chronic bronchial infection which has been productive in the mornings mostly. I am awaiting getting "better" to have more bloodwork (I want b12 and d injections since I cannot absorb these from food or supplements) done by my pcp bust JUST got health insurance last month. *Of importance is that this has happened to me in my sleep where I felt the rush of my stomach contents flood upward and I choked out of sleep over the last few years. (Non insured I might add.) Needless to say, I am a very light sleeper and I sleep on my left side because a few times, like today's random time when I was awake, I feared not getting through the inability to breathe. I also usually get pneumonia 1-2 times a year, cough every day though I never smoked but like many 70's kids, was raised by dual smoking parents.
