I Was Stripping A Piece Of Furniture Today. We Did

I was stripping a piece of furniture today. We did have it well ventilated. I now have a scratchy throat, nose feels as if I went swimming in a overly chlorinated pool, my chest feels feels scratchy as well. I am wondering what I can do at home to relieve the systems?
