I Was Sure I Had Been Bitten By A Spider

I was sure I had been bitten by a spider so went to a convenient care. I was given minocin 100mg to take twice a day for ten days. It has been over 24 hrs since I was seen by physician. My concern is there is considerable pain and is this normal. The site is dark red/purple and does not itch..only discomfort.
