I Was Taken Off Meloxicam 15mg.in The Morning Before Knee

I was taken off Meloxicam 15mg.in the morning before knee surgery. I had the surgery the 20th . Can I start taking again. I have just been taking Tylenol extra strength. Not doing much good. I can't stomach anything stronger, acid reflux burning throat and mouth lining. Thanks for any info. Shirley
