I Was Taking Vospire For Around 15 Years, My Doctor

I was taking Vospire for around 15 years, my doctor took me off of them about 8 months and said I would not miss them, I am now constantly coughing up mucuse , I did not do this while on them, I go back to the doctor in five weeks, should I ask him to put me back on them? I am a 70 year old male. Thank you.
