I Was Taking A 2month Injection For About A Year

I was taking a 2month injection for about a year then i decided to stop. I last saw my mentrual periods in september, im gaining weight nd my breast is getting bigger everyweek nd very painful. Im always using protection wen having sex. Is it normal to experience all these things because i hve stopped using the birth control injection or is it because myb im pregnant?
