I Was Told I Have Peripheral Neuropathy But I Am

I was told I have peripheral neuropathy but I am not certain that's what it is. I have burning like pain, sensitivity and tingling in my toes, feet and ankles, which comes up to the mid shin. I have not been diagnosed with diabetes, but I know I am overweight. I am almost 54 years old, female, with multiple health issues and medications prescribed. I don't want to take more medications, but want to know if there is anything I do at home to relieve this pain and burning?
