I Was Told By My Doctor I Have Caroid Atery

I was told by my doctor I have Caroid Atery disease not in the artery that goes to the brain but facial. 15 years ago I had facial plastic surgery no complications but he did say that could have contributed. Is that an accurate statement and if so why? I am 63 with good cholesterol,no diabetes,good blood pressure. I could lose 15 lbs but am active and in goos health. He did the ultrasound test. I know to lose weight. I do not smoke and how to eat properly cut out fatty foods,carbs. What else do I need to know. Should I take one low dose aspirin every morning? YYYY@YYYY
