I Was Told By My Doctor To Take Omeprazole For

I was told by my doctor to take omeprazole for two weeks - one capsule at bedtime. Nevertheless, I just read that I should be taking it before a meal. I don't seem to have suffered any ill effects, but I am wondering if the efficacy of the drug has been compromised by my taking it well after I have eaten my last meal of the day.
