I Was Told In 2013 That A CMV Test Came

I was told in 2013 that a CMV test came back positive. In the last year I have been seen for nerve pain in my head, it was like being zapped from the inside it was horrible and my whole head felt inflamed. Doctor had limited knowledge so she dismissed it and diagnosed it as cranial neuropathy. But they did no research into the 'cause'!!! Right now I have that feeling in my thoracic area? Could the CMV be the cause of this? And do I need to be seen or just wait it out?
