I Was Told That I Have Lichen Sclerosus. I Can't

I was told that I have lichen sclerosus. I can't stay dry cause it gets itchy and painful, can't stay wet cause It makes me uncomfortable. I was givin the medicine- Hydrocortisone cream usp, 2.5% . they said I would have to take it for ever. Is there another way out of this even maybe surgery?
