I Was Told That Radiation Would Be Left As A

I was told that radiation would be left as a last resource treatment. Know I was sent again to another provide who wants to start me on a low dosage radiation and has set me for 10 sessions. I went to a stem cell transplant about 3 months ago . They are doing this because I have pain. If I do this would this no longer be an option in the future?
