I Was Told To Take Sudafed For A Sinus Infection

I was told to take Sudafed for a sinus infection along with antibiotics. I found that the sudafed is actually giving me a really bad headache, restless/difficulty falling asleep and difficulty breathing. How long till it is out of my system and is there anything else I can do to get rid of it faster?
