I Was Walking Down The Stairs And Missed The Last

I was walking down the stairs and missed the last step and landed on my left foot and it made a very loud cracking sound. It's been over 15 hours and now it is swollen and blue on the top left side and there is swelling and a bruise at the bottom left side as well. I cannot stand on it at all now and when I try to it induces a sharp pain on that side, could it be broken?
