I Was Wondering How Common It Is For People To

I was wondering how common it is for people to touch a cold sore on their mouth then touch their genitals and spread the virus. I did this today on accident and then almost immediately sew my mistake. It was over underwear and for a split second but making that mistake today made me wonder how many times I have make it before and not noticed. I have had oral herpes since I was a child having contracted if from drinking after a cousin. Is it possible to have genital herpes with literally zero symptoms?
