I Was Wondering If Swallowing Gum Could Cause Chest Pain?

I was wondering if swallowing gum could cause chest pain? I swallowed a couple of gums because I was that bored. Anyways, a day later my left side of my chest hurts. I've had these pains before but never really came concerned. When I did exercise the pain went away. I stopped doing excercise for 2 weeks now. I'm not sure if the gum or no excercise caused these pains. Please reply as soon. My mother is concerned about this.
