I Was Working With Rebar (rusty) And Cut Myself On

I was working with rebar (rusty) and cut myself on a steel wire . it cut me on my pinky right by knuckle and it swelled up instantly, blood squirting every where. Im worried that it swelled up like 10 seconds after the cutt. My hands were real dirty cuz of the rebar(rust). Is it infected?
