I Waxed My Upper Lip 3 Days Ago And Now

I waxed my upper lip 3 days ago and now I have I have a reddish and a little brown color mark above my upper lip. Since the incident the red mark has gotten smaller. I've been putting neosporin and ibuprofen. Its really embarrassing im wondering if im going to have a scar and how long will this take to go away?
