I Wear Contacts And Its Not Uncommon For Me To

I wear contacts and its not uncommon for me to have mucous in the corners of my eyes at the end of the day (or even in a more string type way) but my eye has been irritated so i took my contacts out, well i thought it was just like typical mucous eye goo grossness but when i touched it (yes i know never touch the inside of your eye) (i washed my hands) (i did touch it) and it didn't hurt at all pull it peeled away like a sheet of skin like when you sunburn but it felt better then if i look at it an hour later it's starting to go back into the same spots?!
