I Went For Ultrasound Yesterday At Seven Weeks And Four

I went for ultrasound yesterday at seven weeks and four days pregnant and was told that one baby was doing well ( heartbeat normal) but a second sack was seen and it was a vanishing twin. Is it Possible the second baby has not developed enough to see a heartbeat? And can still turn out to be a surviving twin
