I Went In For A Hysterosalpingogram Today And The Doctor

I went in for a hysterosalpingogram today and the doctor said he couldn't do it because my cervix was too tight. He told me to come back to his office on Monday and he will try to open my cervix. What should I expect and after he does this, will I have to go back to the hospital for the dye test or will opening the cervix make it easier for me to conceive?
