I Went Into Cardic Arrest...heart Stopped...put Me On A Portable

I went into cardic arrest...heart stopped...put me on a portable pace maker.....in the transfer, the pack maker came loose/off??? and my heart stopped again....then I had emergency pace maker put in......how do I know if it did permant damage to my heart? or can it? what should I expect witht he heart stopping/pace maker implant? It happened Sept.14th....seems like I can't get going and have gained alot of weight. Can you advise.
