I Went To Donate Blood And While The Needle Was

I went to donate blood and while the needle was inserted there was a burning sensation in my arm. The sensation moved down to the forearm. The technician pulled out the needle, so I did not complete my donation. Now three days later, I have a heaviness in the forearm and when I go to pick a heavy object I get almost like a shock to the forearm. Is this a possible vein injury?
