I Went To The ER A Few Days Ago Because

I went to the ER a few days ago because there was little white spots on the back of my throat and it hurt terribly I've had sore throats before and it hasn't felt like that and I haven't gotten a cold or anything they tested me for strep and it came back negative they said it was just a virus and it'll pass it has gotten a little better but my tonsils and very red and sore also it burns when I eat food and swallow like pretty bad I have been drinking a lot of water because it helps with the burn when I eat should I be worried or will this go away as well
