I Went To The Dentist And Was Told I Had

I went to the dentist and was told i had a gum infection. My teeth and gums are hurting so bad. Was prescribed amox. Have taken the antibiotics for the past 2-3 days but the pain is still here and it is almost unbearable. When will it stop? Im trying not to take painkillers as i dont want to be on too many medications
