I Went To The Doctor Because L Had An Infection

I went to the doctor because l had an infection from brocken hairs when l was shaving my private parts then l decided to have an hiv test to my suprise it came out with a very faint line and was diagnosed positive then l was prescribed antibiotics to clear the infection and was told to come back after finishing the tablets. Was it a real positive or there is a chance that the infection was dictated causing the faint line.
