I Went To The Doctor Friday, Cardiology Yesterday. I Am

I went to the doctor friday, cardiology yesterday. I am scheduled for an exercise stress test and echocardiogram on Monday.
They started me on a low dose of blood pressure medicine.
However tonight my bp won't come down and it's back at 144/108 and 144/99 and going between those two numbers.
Should I be worried? Like er trip?
