I Went To The Gyno Because Of Heavy Painful Periods

I went to the gyno because of heavy painful periods and cystic acne. The first thing they did was prescribe the nuvaring but they also wanted bloodwork to check for insulin resistance and pcos which they were certain I didn't have. However, it came back positive and they prescribed me with metformin. This being said, I didn't want to go on bc in the first place if that wasn't what was wrong so I had the nuvaring in for 24 hours and then took it out. However, ever since then I have had a period for 3 weeks straight and do not see how it is possible for the nuvaring to have been that potent that it would cause this in 24 hours of being in me! I am super scared as I don't know if the bleeding will ever stop.
