I Woke Up In Extreme Pain. I Have A Vp

I woke up in extreme pain. I have a vp shunt and dur ing the night I must have been pushing on the site very hard. When I woke up my hand was pressed very hard in the site. I have beentrying meds, rest and ice but the pain is still pretty extream. Not only was a pressing very hard on my shunt but my temple also. The pain goes all around my shunt area including my eye. I have had some visual disturbances since waking. Should I be looking out for any symptoms or should it be ok? I liv with pain but this is over the top. I feel like I have been hit by a bat.
