I Woke Up In The Middle Of The Night With

I woke up in the middle of the night with minor chills and a very sore, kind of swollen throat. I had a bit of a scratchy throat, hard time swallowing when I went to bed, but this is worse. I am not having a hard time breathing, I jsut want to know when I need to go to the doctor in case this is an allergic reaction. I took benadryl about 10 minutes ago.
